SECONDARY STORAGE

INTRODUCTION

    This fourth learning module is covered, out of sequence, after LM V because this follows the sequence of chapters in the textbook.  Input/Output and Secondary Storage are independent of each other and can therefore be presented in any sequence.  The order of presentation in the learning modules follows that of Leo LaPort's "Over the Top PC" constructed in his TV series, The Screen Savers, a video of which is presented in class.

COMMENTS:

  1. Secondary storage is in the middle of a fundamental transformation from magnetic technology to optical technology.
