The W8EXI Wingfoot VFO Exciter
Oscillator Schematic Diagram and Circuit Description:
Oscillator
Oscillator Grid Circuit

The grid box is nothing more than a series LC circuit mounted
in a separate housing that is connected to the oscillator on the main chassis
through a pair of RG-58 coaxial cables. The shield of each cable is grounded on
each end and the center conductors are connected as shown in the schematics.
The length of the cables is not critical. The cables can be several feet long
if neccessary, but should be as short as possible. By having the LC circuit on
a separate chassis, thermal drift is essentially eliminated, making the
oscillator as stable as modern synthesized gear.

The circuit description will follow at a later date.
